It was jubilations and dancing galore last Sunday October 26, 2025 as the family of Pastor Justin and Deaconess Anuri Ogu of Eneka town in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State celebrated their 25th marriage anniversary.
The ceremony, which took place at the Balm of Gilead Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Eneka where the couple are resident Ministers of God attracted many dignitaries from within and outside the church as well as prominent personalities in and out of Eneka town.
Pastor Edoki, who ministered at the event said that he has known the couple for more than twenty years, described Deaconess Anuri as a God fearing woman who can give her all for the work of God.
Edoki further said that she was never tired of dancing any moment her husband is in the presence of God and commended her love for God and respect for her husband, pointing out that he’s not surprised that she’s celebrating her silver jubilee happily because she has worked hard in her marriage.
Pastor Edoki, who said he has been married for over thirty years admonished the couple to continue with their openness to each other, which, according to him, has brought them thus far and said that he hopes to celebrate with them on their golden jubilee anniversary.
He advised the couple not to be secretive, most importantly in their finances and congratulated them for standing tall and being exemplary to other couples and marriages in society.
An excited Deaconess Anuri Ogu, in her response appreciated her husband for being the best of his kind. Anuri said the pet name(BEST) she chose to call her husband actually worked miracle because he’s truly the best and also the best thing that has happened to her.
Pastor Justin Ogu, on his part equally eulogized his wife as a virtuous and industrious woman who brought peace to his life, saying that he has no regrets getting married to her.
He humourously added that marriage is like local Nigerian rice, no matter how carefully you select it, you must certainly discover stones. But that what matters is your ability to manage your marriage without letting in a third party, that will stand your marriage out as a successful one.
In his words: “men and brethren, if there’s anything bigger than thank you, I would have given you but since there’s non, Accept my heart felt thanks.”
