The Super Eagles moved up to fourth position in Group C with six points from five games following the comfortable victory.
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has saluted Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman for their impressive performance in Nigeria’s win over Rwanda.
CAF, in a short message on its social media handles, with a picture of the duo underneath said: “Nothing to see here, just your last 2 African Player of the Year winners.”
Eric Chelle’s side will host the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Tuesday March 25, 2025.
“There is a second game on March 25th, so we need to be ready for this game. I don’t want to talk about the weaknesses of a great team like Rwanda. My job is to analyze my players. The coach of Rwanda, that’s his job,” he told reporters.
