ABOLGA Ward Three Councillor Receives Flag

It was jubilations in Abua Central, headquarters of Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers state when jubilant supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area trooped out to the flag off campaign of the party in the area.

The carnival like event which took place at the Agbebi Memorial State School Field in Ayama today, Saturday August 23, 2025 attracted top party chieftains from the Rainbow Coalition led by its leader in the area, Prof Henry Ogiri.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of flags to the 13 Councillorship candidates of the party in the LGA for the upcoming council elections on Saturday August 30 in the state.

Hon Uloghoman Friday Ikulughan, the councillorship candidate of the party for Ward Three was ecstatic and jubilant when he was handed the flag by Dr Israel Dickson on the podium and was escorted round the venue, dancing and singing by a throng of his supporters.

In an interview with Journalists on the sidelines of the ceremony, he said he was amazed at the turnout of his supporters and promised that he would not disappoint them when sworn in as he will serve them with integrity and the fear of God.

Earlier before the flags handover, the APC chairmanship candidate of the LGA, Chief (Engr) Owolobi Michael Ofori thanked the supporters of the party in the area and promised to always listen to their views and feelings. Even as he promised rapid development in the local council during his tenure.

Other speakers at the occasion included immediate past Minister of State for Environment, Chief Udi Odum and others who harped on the need for unity and peaceful election come Saturday August 30, 2025.
