Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles will face defending champions, Senegal in their opening fixture at the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.
The competition which commences from Saturday August 2 to Saturday August 30, 2025 will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. It was supposed to have taken place last year 2024 but had to be shifted forward due to logistics concerns.
Their opening match against the champions holds on August 7, 2025 and the second encounter against Sudan on Tuesday August 12, in the same group D take place at the same venue, the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.
Eric Chelle’s side will tackle Congo in their last group D fixture at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, 19 August.
The home-based Super Eagles are making a return to the competition after failing to qualify for the last two editions of the championship.
