The peace pact that led to the abrogation of the six months emergency rule in Rivers state last month buoyed to gear two as Governor Siminalayi Fubara, over the weekend reportedly met with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike and his allies.

We gathered that the meeting, which venue was unknown was to finetune the peace process already in force following the reinstatement of Gov. Fubara after the emergency rule.

Close and reliable sources, however, informed Thescale.com.ng that the meeting was heavily one sided as Governor Fubara attended with none of his supporters, particularly those who staked their necks for him during the political impasse.

The sources also wondered how sustainable the peace would be when Fubara supporters and other stakeholders, who also need forgiveness from allies of the FCT Minister are not carried along, pointing out that these supporters and admirers would feel humiliated, abandoned and intimidated.

Among those present at the meeting, we learnt were FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Gov. Fubara, Senator Barry Mpigi,, Magnus Abe, Wilson Ake, George Sekibo, Olaka Nwogu, Felix Nwaeke, Kelechi Nwogu, Martin Amaewhule, Dumle Maol, and Major Jack.

Also said to be present were Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, Chief Sergent Awuse, Chief OCJ Okocha (SAN), Frank Owhor, Ken Chikere, Worgu Boms, Prof. Zacchaeus Adango (SAN), Chief Victor Giadom, Chief Chukwuemeka Aaron, Udi Odum, Emma Deeyah, Chidi Wihioka, Chinyere Igwe, Ikuinyi Ibani, Boma Iyayi, Chief Marcus Nle Eji, Prof. Henry Ogiri, Chief Chukwuemeka Woke, Dr. Sampson Parker, Dr. Fred Kpakol, Chief Felix Obuah, and Chidi Amadi.

Although , decisions reached at the meeting were not made public, analysts in the state feel that the meeting, which had only the antagonists of the Fubara administration finally nailed the coffin on the total conquest and subjugation of the governor.

“The governor was bullied into submission,” they alleged.
