The Sole Administrator of Okrika Local Government Area in Rivers State, Engr Tamunobipiboye Thompson Isodiki, KSC has called on fathers to play their fatherly role to restore sanity in the Society.
Engr Isodiki gave the charge in his goodwill message to fathers in the Local Government Area as the World celebrates Fathers Day.
The Sole Administrator said ” the failure of fathers to play their traditional fatherly role as enforcers of discipline in the home has created a vacuum”.
He then advised fathers to take charge of their various homes in order to maintain a balanced society.
Sir Isodiki said, “it is sad to observe that today fathers have left their roles in the hands of strangers which is the reason behind the high level of indiscipline among our children”.
He continued, “time was when fathers’ mere presence in the home checks children in the home, but now fathers are not even seen”.
Sir Isodiki assured fathers in the Local Government Area that, “as the number one father in the LGA, I will do all within my power to create an enabling environment for fathers to play their role”.
