A chieftain of Myetti Allah in Rivers State, Alhaji Tukur Mohammed Abubakar has condoled with the people and government of Benue state over the recent unwarranted killings in the state that took the lives of nearly two hundred persons.

Alhaji Abubakar, who was the former Rivers state chairman of the body also condoled with the families that lost their loved ones in the unprovoked attack and prayed Almighty Allah to heal all the wounded in the melee that are currently recovering in various medical facilities across the state.

The current State Director of the body in the state, who sent his condolences in an exclusive chat with Thescale.com.ng today in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers state described the senseless killings as barbaric and unacceptable.

Calling on President Tinubu and the Police Inspector General to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act, he debunked the rumours that the attack was carried out by Fulani herdsmen and wondered how a herdsman can afford to buy AK 47 riffle.

“It would be nearly impossible and very difficult for an average Fulani herdsman to buy an AK 47 riffle, ” he, said, advising politicians, both within and outside the state to look inwards to avoid a reoccurrence.

Alhaji Tukur also advised Benue state governor to summon a town hall meeting in the state or set up a truth and reconciliation panel to address all grievances and pave way for a speedy healing process.
