As the Nigerian musician with the most charting singles in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100, singer Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, has overtaken his colleague Tems.
He broke a tie with Tems to accomplish the achievement, and this week’s chart premiere of Cold Play’s “We Pray,” which features him, LittleSimz, Elyanna, and TiniStoessel.
With We Pray’s debut at No. 87 on this week’s Hot 100, Burna Boy now has six entries on the chart.
Wizkid, the first Nigerian musician to make their debut, has four restaurants, while Tems has five entries on the leaderboard.
Davido, Lojay, Fireboy, Rema, and CKay each have one entry.
Burna Boy is just one song away from surpassing Seether of South Africa as the most-entered African artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
