“We’ll Leave Lasting Legacies For Future ABOLGANS” – Engr Ofori

THIS ADMINISTRATION IS DETERMINED TO LEAVE LASTING LEGACIES THAT WILL SERVE BOTH PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS – ENGR. OFORI

In a move to accelerate judicial development and accessibility within Abua/Odual Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Owolobi Michael Ofori, has met with the contractors handling the construction of the State High Court complex in Ayama, Abua.

The meeting, which took place at the Council Secretariat, focused on addressing grey areas in the contract terms, project specifications, and delivery timelines to ensure timely commencement and completion of the project.

It would be recalled that following the intervention and persistent efforts of senior lawyers of Abua/Odual origin, the Rivers State Judiciary recently approved the establishment of the State High Court, Ayama. However, the take-off of the court has been delayed due to the absence of a befitting court facility.

In response, the administration of Engr. Ofori has graciously taken up the responsibility to construct a modern judicial complex that will house the High Court, a Customary Court, and residential quarters for judges, a landmark project that will enhance justice delivery and ease the burden of legal practitioners and litigants in the area.

Speaking after the meeting, the Executive Chairman assured that his administration remains fully committed to providing the necessary infrastructure that will support the take-off of the High Court in record time. He emphasized that justice should be accessible within the locality without the stress of traveling to Ahoada or Port Harcourt.

“With this project, we are not only bringing justice closer to our people but also strengthening the confidence of our citizens in the rule of law. This administration is determined to leave lasting legacies that will serve both present and future generations,” Engr. Ofori stated.

The contractors expressed appreciation to the Chairman for his proactive leadership and pledged to deliver quality work within the agreed timeframe.

With this renewed engagement, the contractor is expected to mobilize to site soon, marking the beginning of a new era for the judicial system in Abua/Odual.
